Saturday I went to the final Twins game before the season starts. It really got me pumped for the regular season to finally begin. Here are some pictures from the game.

By the way this is my first blog post from my Ipad.

Yankees, Twins and Mothers

I went to the Twins/Yankees game today at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida this afternoon. It was fun to see the defending world champs on their home spring training field. We sat front row down the third base line, and i got a chance to take some pictures. I need all the practice I can get with my camera, I have never had an outdoor MLB game to attend and take pictures at. With Target Field opening for an exhibition game on Friday, I needed a head start.

In the first Inning Denard Span fouled a line drive just to the left of the Twins dugout. From across the field, we all heard a loud smack! it was definitely the sound of a baseball hitting someone extremely hard. After further review, Denard had hit his own mother in the chest with the line drive. He immediately rushed up into the crowd to make sure she was OK. After a 5 minute delay they were back playing baseball again, and according to his Twitter page, she is doing fine. You can see the video Here

Alex Rodriguez signs autographs

I was surprised to see Alex Rodriguez signing before the game, as were some Yankees fans that were sitting by me.

CeCe Sebathia just finished lunch

Fresh out of the buffet line, Ce Ce decided to waddle across the field before the game.

Neshek blows past the Yankees

We got to see Pat Neshek come in and blow past the Yankees also.

Arod Hits Home Run VS Twins

This shot was A-Rod facing Pat Neshek, but we got to see him hit an opposite field home run today.

Cates in comparison to teammate

At 5’3″ Chris Cates is one small dude.

But that dude has some hustle, he nearly beats the throw for an infield single.

Little League Team practices mid-game

It does look like a little league game when he is on the field though.

Curtis Granderson
Finally, how excited is Curtis Granderson to be out of Detroit?

First Pitch at Target Field

This afternoon I went to Target Field and watched the first game ever played there.  It was a game between the Minnesota Gophers college baseball team and Louisiana Tech.

This is a frame by frame of the first pitch ever thrown at Target Field.

The conversation didn’t go this way, but it would have justified the crazy faces. It is so fun watching Kennedy grow up.
